Connections from other lines include the former Lackawanna from the wye on the east side of the former Nickel Plate, south of Buffalo Creek Junction, heading east-northeast past Abbot Road Yard, a bridge over the river, a former crossing with an erstwhile Lehigh Valley line, a flat crossing with the former PRR at DM, an angled bridge over the former Erie, and a turn east, where the line from International Bridge trails in from the west, and the former Erie from FW Tower, past Babcock Street Yard, passing beneath that former Lackawanna bridge and running along the south side of the former Lackawanna, with a connector north to that line at Bison (MP 419.8), whence the line continues east, single track, Rule 261, maximum speed 40 mph, past the junction with the former Lackawanna, trailing in on the north side, at MP 417.7, and turning east-southeast, away from the former Lackawanna routing, past CP-Depew (MP 415.9), and Lancaster (MP 413.2).
A 25,850 ft. north side Controlled Siding (25 mph on the siding) starts at CP-Marilla (MP 406.2), past the start of a curvy section continuing in the same general direction, CP-Alden (MP 401.0), end of the Controlled Siding, and a detector at "Darien Center" (MP 398.7), turning southeast, past CP-Attica (MP 392.5), start of a 25,400 ft. south-side Controlled Siding (10 mph on the siding), location of a former flat crossing with an erstwhile Arcade & Attica line, and junction with the Groveland Industrial Track, heading just east of due north (and then turning east on the former Lackawanna), and a bridge over a river, turning north-northeast up the grade on the east side of the river, and then south-southeast, past CP-Linden (MP 387.1), end of the Controlled Siding, and south past Dale, Warsaw (MP 375.4) and CP-Rock Glen (MP 371.0), start of a 12,900 ft. north-side Controlled Siding (25 mph on the siding).
The line turns southeast, past CP-Silver Springs (MP 368.3), end of the Controlled Siding, a flat crossing with the Rochester & Southern (former PRR), a detector at "Castile" (MP 366.0), and Castile (MP 365.3), just west of due south, along the west side of the Genesee River valley, southeast, with a 30 mph speed restriction, from MP 362.6 to MP 361.7, a 10 mph speed restriction, from MP 361.7 to MP 361.5, over the Genesee Trestle, above the eponymous river and an erstwhile PRR line, and a 30 mph speed restriction, from MP 361.5 to MP 360.5, past Portageville, east-southeast at River Junction, where an erstwhile branch once trailed in on the south side, MP 359.1, where the maximum speed rises to 50 mph, Washington Hunt, and Dalton, and southeast past CP-Ross (MP 351.6), start of a 12,800 ft. south-side Controlled Siding (25 mph on the siding), MP 350.2, where the maximum speed falls to 40 mph, and CP-Swains (MP 349.0), end of the Controlled Siding, where the erstwhile Pittsburg, Shawmut & Northern once crossed.
The maximum speed rises to 50 mph again at MP 348.6, and the line turns just east of due south, east past Garwood, CP Gar, and Canaseraga (MP 343.8), south-southeast, past a detector at "Burns" (MP 339.6), east-southeast and then just east of due south, past Arkport (MP 336.9), just west of due south, bridging over a river, past a 30 mph speed restriction, from MP 332.1 to MP 331.6, West Street Crossover (MP 331.9), start of a north-side Controlled Siding (25 mph on the siding), and the junction with the Olean Secondary Track (former Erie Chicago main line), trailing in from the west-northwest at CP-Cass (MP 331.8), a 35 mph speed restriction, from MP 331.6 to MP 330.2, Hornell (MP 331.2), the location of the Morrison-Knudson Works, and CP-Horn (MP 328.2), where the Controlled Siding ends.
