At University Avenue (MP 11.7), there is a bridge over a street as the former NP tracks turns southeast while the former GN track continues south-southeast, single track, ABS, with speed limit 30 mph, past a bridge over streets with their intersection just to the east/north, a grade crossing with a cobbled street, Intermediate Signals at Van Buren Street (MP 10.2), a grade crossing, a road bridge overhead, a bridge over a street, and ayrd tracks to the west, to Minneapolis Junction (MP 9.5), where a wye on the southwest side connects to the Wayzata subdivision, west to Willmar and there is a bridge over a street.
