Minneapolis Junction to Saint Anthony

At Minneapolis Junction (MP 9.5), a wye on the southwest side connects to the Wayzata subdivision, west to Willmar, there is a bridge over a street, and the single track, CTC, main line turns southeast, with speed limit 30 mph, past two extra tracks on the east side, a bridge over I-35W and connectors, a grain elevator on the northeast side, with tracks, three extra tracks to the east, a footbridge overhead, a bridge over a street, yard tracks to the southwest, five extra tracks to the northeast, three of which turn away east, a yard (part of the BNSF Union Yard (MP 8.4)) on the northeast side, between the three tracks that turn away and the two that stay, at an old grain elevator (being demolished in 5/08), a BNSF three-track shed on the north side, intermodal tracks on the north side, a grade crossing, a wide road bridge overhead, and the yard reducing to one track, with a "begin CTC" sign, then trailing in on the north side, and a road bridge overhead, to St. Anthony (MP 7.1), where the Minnesota Commercial Railroad connects on the south side of the line, the ex-GN line expands to two tracks, a road bridge passes overhead, and then three tracks, and (MP 7.0). The MC from the north crosses at grade, not with a flat crossing but with a series of connectors from a track trailing in on the north side as the connector on the south side turns away south.
