There is a bridge over a road below west of the brick-built Brewster depot is on the south side of the line, west of MP 136, with the Brewster yard on the north side of the line. At Harmon, nor far east of the Brewster Yard and the flat crossing with the RJ Corman line, there is an intersection with the Ohio Central, which curves away to the southeast and then around to the south-southwest. There is a dirt road grade crossing, and the former location of a flat crossing with the erstwhile routing of what became the Ohio Central line south of here, with a still-extant northeast-to-east connector in the northeast quadrant that trails in on the north side of the W&LE, which then passes a road bridge overhead and a bridge over a road below.
The W&LE line heads just south of east, past a grade crossing, a dirt track grade crossing, and a detector at MP 142.0, and then turns south, past a grade crossing, yard limits, a grade crossing, a bridge over a road, and a dirt track grade crossing, southeast, past a road alongside to the northeast, with the line on an embankment, a grade crossing, a bridge over a road, and a dirt track grade crossing, south, past a bridge over a road, a river, and another road, a grade crossing, and a dirt road grade crossing, east past a bridge over a stream and a dirt track grade crossing to Bolivar, south, past two dirt track grade crossings, a road bridge overhead, a dirt road grade crossing, MP 150, and a siding on the east side, and southeast past Zoar, a bridge over a road, five dirt road grade crossings (in the siding), a grade crossing south of the siding, and a once double-track bridge over a river, to Valley Junction, where there was once a flat crossing with a Pennsylvania Railroad line abandoned by Penn Central.
The line continues southeast, on an embankment, past a bridge over a road, a dirt road grade crossing, and Somerdale, turning south-southeast past a dirt road grade crossing, a grade crossing, and New Cumberland, east past a dirt track grade crossing, a grade crossing, and a bridge over a stream, and then southeast again past a dirt road grade crossing, two dirt track grade crossings, a bridge over a stream, MP 164, Sherrodsville, where a line once trailed in from the north, a dirt track grade crossing, a detector at MP 164.3, and Fullers, where a branch to Craig Stone Quarry once headed east.
The line turns east-southeast, past two grade crossings, south past a bridge over a stream to Leesville, and southeast past a road bridge overhead and a bridge over a stream, and then south again past a grade crossing and a siding on the west side to Bowerston, where it turns southeast over a grade crossing and trails into the Ohio Central's Mingo Junction line, over which W&LE has trackage rights.
