T&NO Junction to Lyons

From the flat crossing with the UP Glidden sub. (Sunset Route) heading east-northeast to west-southwest at BNSF Connection (MP 238.1), junction with the BNSF Mykawa sub.  south to Alvin, and T&NO Junction (MP 238.0), junction with the northwest quadrant connector from the UP Glidden sub. (Sunset Route) west, the Houston West Belt sub. heads just west of due north, single track, CTC, speed limit 20 mph, past the south end of the yard at CP H241 (MP 237.9), the BNSF yard on the east side at New South Yard (MP 237.8), the north end of the yard at New South Yard Junction (MP 236.8), the junction with the single track Houston East Belt sub., headed northeast, at Double Track Junction (MP 236.4), where Two Main Tracks, CTC, start, and the south end of Old South Yard.

There is a BNSF yard on the east side at Old South Yard (MP 235.5), crossovers at Cullen (MP 235.0), Rusk (MP 234.4), where the line turns north-northwest and a spur from the BNSF Milby Street facility trails in from the south-southeast, the location of a former crossing with the erstwhile Houston Belt & Terminal line between pierce Junction and Navigation Yard, the junction, on Track 2 (east side), with the former Galveston, Houston & Harrisburg line from Galveston at South GH&H Junction (MP 234.1), where a GH&H line into the erstwhile Houston Union Station once continued northwest, and the line turns just west of due north, past the UP yard on the east side at Congress Yard (MP 234.0), crossovers and the north end of the yard at Congress Junction (MP 233.6), where a spur curves away on the east side to make connection with Navigation Yard on a former M-K-T right-of-way.

An erstwhile connector from that line once trailed in on the east side, and an erstwhile connector from the erstwhile Houston Union Station once trailed in on the west side at North GH&H Junction, where a connector turns away northwest on the r-o-w of the erstwhile M-K-T line to Tower 108, and the line turns just east of due north, past crossovers at Runnels (MP 233.2), and a bridge over the bayou, turning north past a spur trailing in from tracks on the north side of the bayou and crossovers at Nance (MP 232.7) to Lyons (MP 232.5), the south end of a south-to-east connector, from Track 2, to Carr Street Junction on the Houston Terminal subdivision, with a rail-served scrap yard on the east side.
