The single track, Track Warrant Control, line, speed limit 35 mph, heads south from the main line at the west end of Lula (MP 1.00), where there is a yard, turning southwest, south, and curvily southeast past Gillsville and Maysville, east to Wilsons Curch, southeast to Commerce (MP 20.5), where there is a spur, and curvily south past Nicholson, Center and Paradise Valley to Athens (MP 36.0), where there is a yard, a connector to and a flat crossing with the CSX (former SAL) Atlanta to Greenwood, SC, line, and a continuation of the branch on a former C of G route south to Watkinsville.
