Chicago Ridge to Blue Island Junction

From the flat crossing with north and south quadrant connectors, with the Metra Southwest Line (former Wabash) at CP Ridge (MP 21.2),, where East Pass starts (from the south quadrant connector) the line continues southeast, Two Main Tracks, CTC, maximum speed 40 mph, past the handthrow switch on Track 2 at the south end of East Pass (MP 20.2), a grade crossing with Central Avenue, a bridge over 111th Street, Intermediate Signals at MP 19.6/.7, a north-facing spur on the west side at Alsip Lead112th Street (MP 19.3)/, a grade crossing with 115th Street, a bridge carrying Cicero Avenue overhead, a grade crossing with Kostner Avenue at MP 18, crossovers at CP 123rd Street (MP 17.3), a grade crossing with the eponymous street, a bridge carrying Crawford Avenue (MP 17.2) overhead, a south-facing spur on the west side, and a bridge over 127th Street.

There is a handthrow switch on Track 2 at Wireton (MP 16.5), leading to an extra track  (the Long Track) on the west side, where there is a south-facing spur for a paper mill and a north-facing spur for an oil refinery, both off the Long Track, a bridge carrying Kedzie Avenue overhead, crossvoers at CP Francisco (MP 15.4), with a signal bridge to the south, a turn south ,the end of the Long Track into Track 2, through-truss bridges over the Calumet Sag Channel, one with the Two Main Tracks, and one to the west with the extensions of the Long Track, now named Track 8 and Track 9, with similar bridges for the GTW and B&OCT just to the east, and the flat crossings with the double track Grand Trunk Western at Blue Island Junction (GTW Tower/Interlocking, MP 15.2), including a grade crossing with Broadway and crossovers to the B&OCT to the east, where the maximum speed drops to 25 mph.
