Rockton, Rion & Western Railroad (S. Carolina RR Museum)

The South Carolina Railroad Museum own the former Rockton & Rion shortline, heading west from a former Southern line (the same on that runs through Chester) at Rockton. Now known as the Rockton, Rion & Western, the line is only partially restored. The line heads south from the museum site, across the main road and past a trucking company and a chemical distributor (with pressurized storage tanks), turning southwest through the fields to Greenbrier, where it ended in 1996, and then onwards to Rion Quarry, where it curves west to the end of the line in 2007. At Rion, there is a restored depot and weigh station on the north side of the line.

The unrestored line continues west, past Scott Crossing, north-northwest to Roberts Siding, and west to Anderson Quarry.
