Wakely  to Quintette

From Wakely (MP 0.0), a junction at which the main line turns north-northwest, the Tumbler Ridge line leaves the mainline to head east, single track, OCS, with overhead electric catenary, overall speed limit 50 mph for passenger trains and 35 mph for freights, but local restriction 15 mph at the junction, rising to full line speeds at MP 0.2, and start the climb into and across the mountains, bridging across a side river and then across the Parsnip River, to turn south and then east-southeast along the north side of this river, curving east past Parsnip (MP 8.0), and then east-northeast, along the north bank of the Table River, past a detector at MP 10.1, the 7,945 ft. siding at Table (MP 16.1), a bridge to the south side of the river, MP 17, where the westward ("southward") freight speed limit drops to 25 mph, MP 18.0, where the eastward ("northward") freight speed limit drops to 30 mph, as the climb begins in earnest, a turn curvily east past Boulder (MP 23.0), the 6,505 ft. siding at Whitford (MP 29.8), and MP 34, where the westward ("southward") freight speed limit rises to 30 mph.

The line now passes through the 5.6 mile Table Tunnel (MP 34.1 to MP 39.7), with a summit at 3,015 ft. elevation inside the tunnel, emerging to jog southeast, turn northeast past Sukunka (MP 42.0), jog north, and turn northeast again through the 3.7 mile Wolverine Tunnel (MP 43.6 to MP 47.3), then enter the valley where the coalmines are located at the 7,620 ft. siding at Wolverine (MP 48.4), where there are additional tracks, not electrified, turning east-northeast along the north side of the Wolverine River, past MP 49.0, where the freight speed limit drops to 25 mph for the eastward descent, the 800 ft. tunnel at MP 49.6, the 1,200 ft. tunnel at MP 53.5, Reesor (MP 55.0), MP 60.8, where the freight speed limit rises to 35 mph at the bottom of the grade, the 7,960 ft. siding at Tumbler (MP 61.6), a detector at MP 65.8, as the line curves following the river bank, turning north, and then east past a speed restriction of 20 mph across the road crossing at MP 68.5, Teck (MP 69.6), where there is an electrified spur to Teck Loadout on the south side of the line, for Bullmoose Mining, and turning southeast, across the river past Murray (MP 73.3), the helper terminal, bridging across the Murray River and turning south on its east side past MP 74.0, where the freight speed limit drops to 30 mph, MP 80.0, where the freight speed limit drops to 20 mph, and the start of Yard Limits at MP 81.0, as far as a mine loadout at Quintette (MP 82.3) for Quintette Mining.
