Readville to Canton Junction

From the MBTA passenger station with two side platforms at Readville (MP 219.2), a road bridge overhead, and the junction and crossovers at Transfer (MP 218.5), where the Dorchester Branch trails in on the east side, the number of tracks drops to two, and the speed limits become 95/50 on Track 1 and 100/50 on Track 2, the Main Line, CETC, overhead electrification, heads south-southwest, past eight yard tracks to the east, a line with a signal bridge trailing in on the east side, extra tracks on the east side, a wide road bridge overhead (SR 128), the MBTA and Amtrak passenger station, with two side platforms with umbrella sheds, a footbridge overhead and depot to the east, at Route 128 (MP 217.3), where the line turns south and the passenger speed limit on Track 2 drops to 95 mph, a bridge over a stream, and dual road bridges overhead, to the junction with the Stoughton Branch on the east side, and MBTA passenger station with two side platforms and an island platform between the diverging lines, at Canton Junction (MP 213.9), where the main line turns south-southwest and the passenger speed limit drops to 80 mph on Canton Junction Viaduct.
